  • Three out of every five times someone speaks of a learning curve, they’re just in denial about a weak design
  • When someone says “this sucks” they’re really saying “this doesn’t meet my expectations”
  • The more time you spend defining the specific group(s) of people you are designing for, the easier it will be to make good software
    —> Reason for having personas
  • To worry about code aesthetics more than the aesthetics of the product itself is akin to a song writer worrying about the aesthetics of the sheet music instead of the quality of the sounds people hear when the band actually plays
